India has 50 million Spindles and 0.75 million Open-End Rotors, making it the world’s second largest spinning capacity, commanding a major share of the global Cotton Yarn market. India produces over 4700 million kilograms of spun yarn of which over 3,400 million kilograms is cotton yarn and it accounts for nearly 73% of total spun yarn production.
